Marc Acton is full-bodied and smooth, he is luscious with aromas of dark fruits that are followed by rich flavors of chocolate and cherries. Listening to Marc goes well with pasta with red sauce, or lighter beef dishes. Also, any local game you might have, or even goose would do well. Listen to him on Mix 106 and The MESS at cellar temperature to allow the sounds to evolve in your ears.
My fascination with radio began early in life. Growing up in rural Vermont I would listen to the radio all the time and record my own radio shows on tape. My passion for radio continued after my family moved to California. I landed an internship at a local radio station in Chico when I was just 15 years old! In 2013, I moved to the Bay Area and began taking radio classes at Ohlone College in Fremont. Ohlone’s station 89.3 KOHL is not a typical college station- they run a Top 40 format and are the longest running pop station in the SF Bay Area. After spending a few years at KOHL as Music Director and Air Talent, I was hired by Mix 106 in San Jose as an on-air personality. When I’m not on the radio I am usually finding fun new clothes at thrift stores, sipping a latte at a hip coffee shop or planning my next trip. As a millennial and a proud member of the LGBT community, I enjoy all that the Bay Area has to offer.
Sam Reyes is Bay Area native who fell in love with broadcasting at a young as a wee lass. She is the founder of Kale Chips and Fat Hips, a body positivity blog. Sam is also a model for Curvy Girl Lingerie and other plus size brands and has a passion for spreading self love! 2018 will be a big year for Sam as she is becoming a first time mom after many years of trying. Her obsessions are as followed, Disney, cats, dogs, being naked or scantily clad manatees… oh and Ellen Degeneres and food!!!
Be kind to one another!
